According to the Globe & Mail, “a year ago, Canada represented about 5 per cent of Facebook users. Today, that number is closer to 11 per cent, at a time when the site is adding about a million new users a week.”
With number like these, by now every AIMS member has heard about the social network Facebook, and you likely already have a profile set up. Now, thanks to our member Heather Sanderson, AIMS also has a Facebook group! By signing into your Facebook account and searching for AIMS Canada, you can join a group of fellow AIMS members in discussing online marketing, sharing ideas and questions, learning about upcoming AIMS events and more. (If you don’t have an account set up yet, you can sign up for free at www.facebook.com and set up your personal profile to get started).
This group was created by Heather Sanderson of Random House of Canada. As well as researching and promoting the use of social networks, Heather has been actively using Facebook to seek out unique and niche marketing opportunities, to promote events, and to reconnect with friends.
Toronto now has over 700,000 users on facebook with about 3% growth per week!
It's the largest city network in North America! Vancouver also ranks near the top!

That only indicates that people in Canada have a growing consciousness about social networking media and are actually taking active part on it.

I've been thinking about starting up a Facebook group for our HR department, specifically to help with campus recruiting. They like the idea.
Is anyone out there using Facebook from a corporate standpoint? Are there any tips, tricks, pros or con that people can offer?
Thanks!

Facebook is a powerful tool to find people and things.
I was reluctant to sign up at Facebook but a friend of mine sent an invitation. Well, what a heck, I just signed up and left it for a while.
A friend who I did not contact for 15 years sent me a message through Facebook just out of blue! He is in South Africa and me in Canada! I am in the business of
Travel Insurance. Well we started talking about our past trips...
At any rate, facebook works for private and business.
Cheers

Facebook can be a very valuable tool in your social marketing mix. I believe every company looking to expand their reach should be taking advantage of this free medium.
Great Post!

It is very good that you do such superb thought about this good topic. Thence I guess that that could be very good when scholars buy the best dissertation or dissertation with you help.

Interesting… I might try some of this on my blog, too. It’s quite interesting how you sometimes stop being innovative and just go for an accepted solution without actually trying to improve it… you make a couple of good points.

Nice post and idea... Facebook is a very powerful tool now because of its popularity and the number of people who are actually using it are growing in number each day.

Would love to know how many new users per week are still being added to facebook - it must have slowed down by now, surely?

The credit loans suppose to be essential for people, which are willing to ground their own business. In fact, it's very easy to get a consolidation loan.
