Another important component to remember when switching between analtyic tools is how the data is measured. Traffic counts for example can vary widely and by as much as 50% which can have significant impact on many KPI's (Key Performance Indicators).

If the decision is made to change, I've found keeping a transition period effective until you determine the variation in the figures of the new tool. This helps to re-educate the team about your performance so that everyone adjusts to the new measurements. Beware that some of your external vendors who provide services with performance benchmarks should be involved in this transition period too.
