"I would be interested to learn about different KPIs and what they really mean from both a technical and business perspective. My knowledge on web analytics is limited and other than actual software training, I haven't found much out there to help me learn more about this important area. Any articles, discussions and events the council can provide will be much appreciated."
We'll definitely be working on information and events around this topic. In the meantime June Li from ClickInsight offered up a few suggestions:
Specifically regarding KPIs, I have resources listed on the Analytics Resources page of my Website (http://www.clickinsight.ca/content/resources1/resources2/web-analytics.html)
Build a Solid Foundation With Key Performance Indicators by Jason Burby (clickz.com) eBook on Key Performance Indicators: The Big Book of KPIs by Eric T. Peterson{all of Eric's books have a section on KPIs.]And if Trisha wants to find out about where she can learn more about Web analytics in general, here are 3 courses and a Squidoo list [Disclosure: I'm involved in the first 3]:
Web Analytics Program (series of 4 courses) at the University of British Columbia. Web Analytics 2-day course at the University of Toronto. WAA Training Day at Emetrics.org, Washington, D.C., October 15, 2006 Visit Jill Barringer's Squidoo Lens on Web Analytics Courses. Thanks Trisha and June for getting the conversation started. Anyone else have a good resource about KPIs? Or a specific analytics question for the group?
In the last 6 months, I have been in several sessions at conferences and Boot Camps where the KPI's have been included and briefly discussed within the context of the session. It was new to me then, and I am still a novice in the subject, but what I have learned is that KPI's can (and perhaps should) be judiciously applied to many areas of the business where performance must be measured. I view KPI's as tool and a methodology for monitoring performance in many areas of the business, such as; sales processes, employee performance and review, product and service sales indicators, etc, etc. It's more like "what do you want to measure and where do you draw the line". Initially, Trisha may want to first consider just what and who does she want to measure and how far does she want to take the excercise. There are a number of books available for ideas and guidance on how to execute once you know what it is you want track.

Another quick note I forgot to mention in my earlier comment, is that when developing KPI's, it is very important to measure what is most important "to the customer". Measuring performance for internal use by management has some limited benefit, but if the focus is turned to measuring and improving performance that directly affects the relationships with customers, the returns, I think, are pretty obvious.

One admits that our life seems to be expensive, nevertheless we need money for various issues and not every one earns big sums cash. Thence to get quick home loans or just credit loan should be a right solution.

That is well known that cash can make people independent. But how to act when somebody does not have cash? The one way is to try to get the home loans and just small business loan.

Some time before, I needed to buy a good house for my firm but I did not have enough cash and couldn't purchase anything. Thank God my mate proposed to get the loans from reliable bank. Therefore, I did that and was happy with my bank loan.
