Flash Developer - CBC
CBC's Children and Youth Interactive is looking for a FLASH Developer / Producer who is able to develop and create fun and exciting online FLASH based games and activities for our preschool audience (Age 2-6). We are looking for someone who is passionate about developing and building preschool games and content and most importantly, the right candidate must be able to conceive, plan and lead in the creation of interactive games and activities.
*Please note this is a contract position.
What You Do
The successful candidate will create and pitch to the Senior Producer and Executive Team, fun interactive games and activities that are age appropriate. You will lead, plan, and organize projects and work within a team as a developer to deliver products from concept to final delivery while actively participating in the production and preparation of online activities. Your work must adhere to CBC journalistic and/or program policies, standards and practices and the Producer is ultimately responsible for ensuring that this occurs.
What You Bring
- A highly creative and self motivated disposition
- 3 - 5 years minimum experience developing FLASH games and activities
- 3 - 5 years minimum experience leading productions and / or acting as a technical lead
- Expertise in developing with: FLASH, PHP, My SQL / PostGres, HTML, CSS
- Experience working with video editing tools such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere and After Effects
- Knowledge of the latest trends and technologies
- An ability to multitask and work on a variety of projects at once
- FLASH AS3 and experience developing activities for kids will be considered an asset
